Dissociative Identity Disorder training, DID professional education, DID speaker, mental health lived-experience consultant, psychoeducational workshops, and lived-experience advocacy.

Ideas become conversations.

Conversations create understanding.

Understanding makes change possible.

Permission to Define brings together education, professional training, consulting, collaboration, speaking, and lived-experience advocacy to create opportunities for deeper understanding and meaningful change.

Whether you are looking for a speaker, developing a new program, seeking professional education, or simply have an idea that does not fit neatly into a box, there may be a way for us to work together.

The work begins with curiosity—and a willingness to question what we think we already know.

WAYS WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

Education & Professional Training

Move beyond awareness. Build genuine understanding.

Customized educational presentations and professional trainings designed for organizations, professionals, educators, and communities seeking a deeper understanding of Dissociative Identity Disorder, lived experience, trauma-informed perspectives, and the importance of challenging assumptions.

Speaking & Presentations

Stories can do more than inspire. They can change the way we understand.

Stories have the power to do more than inspire—they can challenge what we believe we know. I am available for conferences, professional organizations, educational settings, community events, panels, and other speaking opportunities where authentic lived experience can help create greater understanding. Presentations can be customized to meet the needs of each audience and combine personal storytelling, education, and meaningful conversation to create an experience that continues long after the presentation ends.

Consulting & Collaboration

Bring lived experience to the table from the beginning.

Some of the most meaningful ideas are created when different perspectives are invited to the table from the beginning. Permission to Define collaborates with professionals, organizations, nonprofits, and community leaders on projects where lived-experience insight, education, creativity, and a different way of looking at a problem can add meaningful value. This may include program development, educational materials, workshops, advocacy initiatives, resource development, or something entirely new. If you have an idea that does not fit neatly into a predefined category, I am always open to exploring what we might create together.

Workshops & Psychoeducational Programs

Creating opportunities to learn, explore, and understand differently.

Permission to Define develops and collaborates on interactive psychoeducational workshops that create opportunities for people to learn, reflect, ask questions, and explore complex topics in a supportive educational environment. Programs are designed to combine accessible information with meaningful conversation and lived-experience perspective while respecting the individuality and complexity of every participant. Workshops may be developed independently or in collaboration with other professionals and can be tailored to specific communities, populations, and educational needs.

Advocacy & Lived-Experience Partnership

Lived experience belongs in the conversation.

Lived experience should be more than a story invited into the room after the important decisions have already been made. Permission to Define partners with professionals, organizations, programs, and initiatives seeking authentic lived-experience perspectives as a meaningful part of their work. Through advisory roles, consultation, advocacy projects, panels, educational initiatives, and collaborative conversations, I bring the perspective of someone who has both lived the experiences being discussed and spent years educating others about them. The goal is not to speak for everyone—it is to help ensure that the voices of people directly affected are genuinely included in the conversations that shape understanding, services, and change.

Have Something Else in Mind?

Some of the most meaningful work begins with an idea that does not fit neatly into a predefined category.

If you are considering a training, presentation, collaboration, program, or project and believe Permission to Define could bring something meaningful to the conversation, I would love to hear about it.

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes the first step is simply starting the conversation.
